Custard with homemade rice drink

As we anticipated last week we bring you these custards prepared from the rice drink that we prepared in the previous post.

A totally homemade and delicious custard, We go with the recipe!

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 liter of rice drink
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid stevia or 60g sugar
  • 30g cornstarch or fine corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon plus a little more to sprinkle on top.

Custard PREPARATION

  1. In a saucepan we put the rice drink together with the cinnamon and put over medium-high heat until it boils, stirring from time to time.
  2. While in a bowl we add the yolks together with the stevia or sugar and stir.
  3. Once it starts to boil we lower the heat.
  4. We overturn the bowl with the yolks in the casserole and stir.
  5. Now we start to add the cornmeal little by little and without stopping stirring with the help of some rods so that no lumps come out and a homogeneous mixture remains.
  6. Once thickened and without lumps, We remove from the heat and pour into some glasses that we will let cool a little before taking to the refrigerator.
  7. Chill in the fridge for a few hours and serve with sprinkled cinnamon.

 

As you can see, they are very easy to prepare and we can have some rich and homemade custard in very little. I hope you try them and enjoy them as much as we do.
