If you're bored of classic hummus, Today we bring you two varieties to again enjoy a good “PEO”. And you will see that it is so easy that you can unleash your imagination and create as many different hummus as you can think of.
INGREDIENTS
- 400g of cooked chickpeas Southern chickpea
- 1-2 garlic cloves
- 60g water
- Juice 1 medium lemon
- 1 tablespoon sesame paste or tahini
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 80g AOVE (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
- 140g raw and peeled carrot
- 7-10 fresh basil leaves
PREPARATION Hummus base
- First we are going to prepare the base of the traditional hummus.
- We add all the ingredients in a powerful mixer, except carrot and basil, and we crush at maximum speed for one minute.
PREPARATION Basil Hummus
- We take half of our previously prepared hummus base and add the basil leaves a little chopped.
- We crush for another minute at maximum power and ready.
Note: If it is too dense and does not crush well, you can add water or oil. With the water you will have a little more liquid and with the creamiest oil.
PREPARATION Carrot Hummus
- Cook the carrots until they are very soft.
- We put in the blender, clean well so that flavors do not mix, the remaining half of the base hummus and add the carrot.
- We crush for a minute at maximum power and ready.
Note: If it is too dense and does not crush well, you can add water or oil. With the water you will have a little more liquid and with the creamiest oil.
